The Long Neglected Covenant To borrow from Will Rogers' comment on the weather, "Everyone talks about the covenant, but nobody does anything about it." There is a good reason for this: in the history of Christianity there has never been a theologian who has explained to anyone's satisfaction just what the Biblical covenant is. We have heard about "covenant theology" since Calvin's day, but can anyone tell us just what Calvin said the covenant is, how it works, and what common features are fo ...

"Arriving at a definition of hyper-Calvinism is challenging for several reasons. First, it is a subject that can evoke a strong emotional response, which works against objective historical and biblical study. Second, there is a spectrum of groups given this name, who, in some things, differ widely from each other. Third, there exists a range of mod…

In this episode we begin to talk about David Winecoff, the pastor of Providence Reformed Presbyterian Church, which Elizabeth Mackintosh attended. Since you all recommend not seeking to reform someone else's church, how do you reconcile that with Paul going town to town to all the synagogues as a Jew, to try to convert them?
