After attending the EuroLeague Final Four in Belgrade, European basketball expert and #DraftTwitter favorite Javier Pesquera (@Pesquerj) joins Jackson on the show. To start, Javier introduces some of the philosophical coaching differences between pro basketball in Europe and in the NBA to provide some context, specifically for evaluating Luka Doncic (1:34). Then they move into a general discussion of Luka Doncic's performance throughout the playoffs and in the Final Four, including some of the differences seen when scouting him in person versus watching him on tape (11:16). After that they transition to some conversation about Deandre Ayton, discussing specifically why Doncic is a better fit for the Phoenix Suns at number 1 and some of the difficulties that come with building an offense around Ayton (27:37). Next Javier mentions some of his favorite potential free agent targets for NBA teams from Euroleague and around Europe in general, including Nikola Kalinic, Cory Higgins, Kevin Pangos, and Dylan Ennis (44:40). Finally, Javier breaks down some of his impressions of young prospects from the Adidas Next Generation Tournament (54:18). Follow the show on Twitter @HardwoodHomies and follow Javier @Pesquerj!
