The Atomic Knights

The greatest thing about the late 1950's and early 1960's comics weren't that they were concerned with Atomic War. No, everyone was worried about that, and that was no fun at all. No it was that the results of said Atomic War were so much better than what would probably happen if there was an Atomic War.

In comics, the end of mankind usually meant a few humans running around in a forest-like setting with man-like animals calling the shots. If you are a Planet of the Apes fan, than this stuff is for you.

The folks who were left usually pulled together to make a society that was better than the stuff we have now. Usually fair and democratic with a nod to man's “better history.” There were no Mad Max situations in post-apokoliptic comics from the 50'.

Instead, we got the Atomic Knights.
