As Chinese consumers get wealthier and consume more, their diets and lifestyles change. While still not at the levels seen in mature markets, obesity is on the rise in China. What should China do to address this issue early on?

In this podcast, Nick Leung discusses this topic with Jonathan Woetzel and Franck LeDeu. Jonathan is a Senior Partner in Shanghai who leads the McKinsey Global Institute in Asia. Franck is a Partner who leads McKinsey’s Healthcare Practice in China. Nick is Managing Partner of McKinsey’s Greater China practice.

This is the second in our three-part holiday series of McKinsey on China. Check out part one, in which we discussed our predictions for China in 2015. And be sure to subscribe to our podcast on iTunes so you can get the next episode in the series when it comes out. To download the report discussed in this podcast, visit the McKinsey Global Institute site.

And finally, a thank you to all of our listeners. This concludes our third year of the McKinsey on China podcast. We hope you’ve enjoyed the program, and we also hope you’ll stick with us in the new year.
