After over a decade of industry experience, Kari McIntosh left a career in hospitality design to establish her eponymous firm, Kari McIntosh Design, eager to create bespoke, vibrant homes that channeled her clients’ diverse personalities. A creative with an innate eye for design, Kari spent her childhood crafting ballrooms for her dolls. Interested in architecture from a young age, Kari took drafting class in high school, envisioning her own dream mountain home. After pursuing her passion through California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo’s Architecture program, she quickly realized her preference for interiors and shifted her path accordingly to Business Administration with the intent to continue into the field of Interior Design. After graduating UC Berkeley Interior Design & Interior Architecture post-baccalaureate program with distinction, it was clear that Kari had found her true calling. Kari’s work has been published in Traditional Home Magazine, HGTV Magazine, Luxe Interiors + Design Magazine and featured online in, Elle Decor, California Home and Design, Apartment Therapy, Luxe Magazine, Rue Magazine, About.com, Modern Sanctuary and HOUZZ. Currently, Kari is designing a room for the 2017 SF Decorator Showcase. Kari is LEED AP certified and is an ASID Allied Member. Kari McIntosh Design is honored with the 2016 ASID Design Excellence Gold award in Bathroom Design and Silver awards for Residence (under 3,000 square feet) and Singular Space (Showhouse) for The Traditional Home Napa Valley Showcase and was awarded 2016 Best Of Houzz - Service.
