Erik Vance is a writer whose work focuses on the human element of science. He has written for the New York Times, Scientific American and National geographic to name a few. He is the author of the book “Suggestible You: The Curious Science of Your Brain’s Ability to Deceive, Transform, and Heal.” In this podcast we discuss the power (and limitations!) of the placebo effect, why science focuses on the mechanism over the miracle of it and how it will play a huge part in the future of medicine.
