Think and Grow Rich For Lawyers; The Podcast-Project grew out of a discussion one evening with a group of about 50 highly-successful and entrepreneurial lawyers at the historic Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida for a talk about how to manage a small law firm. We were quite literally sitting and standing-around after one of our live quarterly meetings. Lamenting two facts: 1st None of us knew very many lawyers outside of our group who were familiar with Think and Grow Rich; and 2nd Despite our members hailing from all across the Country and practicing in a wide range of practice areas, beyond ourselves, we knew relatively few highly-ambitious and entrepreneurial lawyers with a successful solo or a small law firm whose judgment and real-world experience at running a successful law firm we could trust to discuss our concerns, our hopes, our dreams, our fears and our ambitions with. As Organizer of the group, the time came when it became obvious to all concerned that I had to speak-up. I have been recommending Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich TO lawyers for nearly a decade. Ever since I was a Law Practice Management Advisor with The Florida Bar’s Law Office Management Assistance Service. And I’ve read, re-read and listened to various audio programs enough times. Plus we’ve had plenty-enough discussions about how to apply the timeless principles of Hill’s book to the management, marketing, staffing, financial controls and just about every other aspect of what it really takes to create a highly successful solo or small law firm. So I did speak-up and here we have it, Think and Grow Rich For Lawyers; The Podcast Project. What I’m doing quite simply is narrating the book, nearly word-for-word so you don’t miss a thing. One chapter at a time. But with occasional commentary, explanation and pointers as to how some of these lessons may be profitably and reliably applied to the business of how you manage your small law firm. This way if it’s your first time being exposed to the book you’ll hear the whole thing and can finally cross this item it off of your to do list. And if this is not the first time you’ve been exposed to the book or even if you’ve been thinking about how to apply these lessons to make your law firm more profitable, more predictable and more professionally-satisfying (and even more fun) you will hear the narration as a refresher and the commentary may provide a new perspective you had not considered before.
