Knees, elbows, and tuk tuks? Oh my! This week the Bloody Good Film Podcast is Ong back with another franchise deep dive. This time around we are heading to both past and present Thailand with the Muay Thai aficionado, Tony Jaa as we discuss the first two films in the Ong Bak franchise.
In our longest episode yet, we cover both the original Ong Bak: The Thai Warrior, and it's sequel Ong Bak 2: The Beginning. We desperately try to follow along with the plots, while simultaneously trying to figure out how many double elbows to the head it takes for us not to care about them anymore.
Join as we take numerous detours about proper pronunciation of names, movies we've already talked about, and the difference between alligators and crocodiles. We take you through every free run, tuk tu chase, elephant punch, double knee, and fire kick that these films have to offer.
