Jennifer Bennett is one of the survivors of the 2013 Navy Yard shooting that claimed the lives of 12 people in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Bennett gets candid with Greg Kelly about how her faith kept her calm and collected while literally staring down the barrel of the shooter's weapon. She sustained a point-blank shotgun blast and was severely wounded. Despite her experience, Bennett is decisively pro-Second Amendment and says neither the gun nor the shooter alone did her harm.
Ms. Bennett also gets candid about the 46th President. She encountered Joe Biden while recovering from her wounds. It was in this exchange, she says, she saw his self-centered disingenuous nature first hand.
The most riveting part of this interview, however, is Bennett's moment-by-moment playback of the Navy Yard shooting, recounted in 20 riveting, uninterrupted minutes with edge-of-your-seat details. It's clear the encounter is as vivid today as it was nearly a decade ago.
Ms. Bennett is a public speaker on the topic of leadership, her book is "Standing Still In A Culture of Mass Shootings" and can be found at her website, Navy Yard Survivor.
