Hello Gritty Friends!

We are talking about all things work-life balance. Which lets be real - there is no true balance but how to create the closest to balance. We get stressed out because one or both parts of our lives are out of sync. Imagine how good it would feel to finally have that elusive work-life balance in your life. To be able to relax and enjoy time with your family without constantly feeling guilty or stressed out.

Today we are getting gritty about how to find a less stressed and more balanced way to move forward. I am going to share 9 strategies that can help you find the right balance for you depending on your focus. At some point, we have all struggled to do ALL the things. Be a mom, wife, daughter, sister, co-worker, or even boss and do all these things and feel that we are doing them well. Right? Let’s get rid of the myth that there is true balance. If you are any of those descriptions above this episode is for you. It doesn't matter where you are in life - when something seems out of balance, you want to find the happy place again. That sweet spot as close to the middle you can find to saying - bliss.

Depending on your focus at the time, your scale might be heavily tipped one way or another. Preparing for a promotion might mean more time at work than home. You have a sick family member, then you might need more time at home than work. It could even be saying no to things you really want to do but don't have the bandwidth right now to do it well. The scales can tip either way but the stress can be minimized with some simple ways to help communicate better. This could be that you need to talk to your family and let them know what is happening at work (if your kids are old enough include them). Your boss might need to know about your commitment to home right now.

With these tips, you can find a better balance for yourself and start feeling more in control. Are you ready?
