What do you do when you start to encounter physical limitations that are getting in the way of what you've dreamed-- how you imagined your life would be? Should you ignore and try to push through or should you lean in and be still? How do you not allow bitterness and frustration to grow in your heart? Dena Dyer joins us today to share her story about being diagnosed with Hashimoto disease and the importance of really listening to our body. We also discuss:

  • Her battle with physical, spiritual, and emotional fatigue
  • How it's okay to ask for help and not take on too much
  • The importance of seeing a doctor and following their recommendations
  • Gaining the tools to maintain wellness in every part of our life
  • Why we need to take care of our social needs through friendship
  • How age is not a factor in pursuing God's call: how we can overcome the lie that we are too old or too late to do what God has called us to do

Dena is living proof that God can take our limitations and turn them into God-possibilities. We can still be used by him even in the midst of a challenging season in our life. Please share this episode with someone who may need this message of hope.
About Dena Dyer:
Dena Dyer loves Jesus, her family, all things literary, coffee, and British television. She’s an author of ten books and many articles, a professional speaker, and a coach who’s been married to her hubby Carey for 25 wonderful years (and a couple they don’t talk about). They have two young adult sons and a rescue dog who loves to sit on her lap during Zoom calls. Her passion is sharing words of humor and hope with wounded and weary people, and she enjoys singing on the praise team at the church where her husband is the worship pastor. She spends too much time online or in the fast food drive-through--but she and the Lord are working on it. Connect with her: website, Instagram or Facebook.
