Sonia Orlu joined us to discuss her life experiences as a Nigerian immigrant living in Canada as well as her "controversial" essay about not supporting BLM.

Sonia is a Ph.D. student in Political Science at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver. Her current academic research focuses on identity politics, diversity and inclusion, and free speech in the era of social media as the new public square. She previously held a sessional teaching position at Langara College in Vancouver, and currently maintains a political and cultural commentary account on Instagram.
