Matildah explains using the Bemba language that physical violence is purposefully injuring or threatening to injure a person which can include stabbing, slapping, punching, shaking, kicking, burning, shoving, grabbing, restraining, inappropriate sanctions. She further adds that physical abuse may take the form of bruises, cuts, burns and fractures.
