About Black Light:

The Black Light Mass Incarceration Show is a space that is used to uplift the unheard voices of the criminal and social justices issues that many face today.

BLMIS is a weekly podcast that interviews those forgotten in our prison systems. We are here to give the forgotten or ignored a platform for them to share their stories. Inform and educated others on what is really happening behind the scenes.

In this episode, Dedan and I delve into a thought-provoking discussion on capitalism and explore a compelling case that has captured the attention of many in Gastonia, North Carolina. The case revolves around a twin brother who finds himself charged with murder for protecting his brother from law enforcement.

We begin by examining the concept of capitalism and its impact on society. Capitalism, as an economic system, is based on the principles of private ownership, free markets, and competition. It has been both praised for its ability to drive innovation and criticized for exacerbating wealth inequality. Dedan and I delve into the nuances of capitalism, discussing its merits and potential drawbacks.

Moving onto the case in Gastonia, we recount the events that unfolded and led to the charges being brought against the twin brother. It all started when law enforcement officers attempted to apprehend the brother for an alleged crime. In a split-second decision, the other twin stepped in to protect his sibling, resulting in a tragic outcome.

We explore the legal implications of the case, analyzing how self-defense laws are applied and whether there are any mitigating circumstances that could potentially affect the charges. The case raises questions about the boundaries of personal responsibility and the extent to which individuals can go to protect their loved ones.

Throughout the episode, Dedan and I provide insights from legal experts and delve into the ethical and moral dilemmas surrounding the case. We examine the underlying factors that led to such a drastic situation and discuss potential ways to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

To conclude the episode, we invite listeners to share their thoughts and opinions on the case, sparking a broader conversation about the complexities of the legal system and the implications of capitalism on society. We encourage our audience to critically analyze the case and consider the various perspectives involved.

Stay tuned for our next episode as we continue to explore thought-provoking topics and engage in meaningful discussions.
