II Timothy 1:1-5

• I REMEMBER MOTHER BECAUSE OF HER _CHRISTIAN FAITH_.

∙ She heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and acknowledged her need of a Savior.

∙ I remember to compare her to Proverbs 31:28-29

• I REMEMBER MOTHER BECAUSE OF HER PARENTAL _GUIDANCE_.

∙ Proverbs 22:15 “Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline will drive it far from him.”

∙ Proverbs 23:13 “Do not withhold discipline from a child. If you punish him with the rod, he will not die.”

∙ Discipline that influences a life guiding one in the right way.

∙ Discipline as focused attention guiding one in the way of goodness, faith and love.

• I REMEMBER MOTHER BECAUSE SHE HAS A LIVING __HOPE_.

∙ She prayers her children will experience Christ as their Savior.

∙ Mother has an ETERNAL HOPE …a mother of faith and faithfulness will give you a hope to live with and a hope to die by.
