When you get your startup going with a cofounder, a difficult question that often pops up is how to split the shares between founders and also early employees. That’s exactly the problem Mike Moyer was confronted with when he started his company. The simple answer (50/50) proved to be a bad choice... but how do you split equity then? The Slicing Pie method Mike developed and described in his book may be the answer.
