We talk to Tasha Majomi who emigrated to the United States from Nigeria at 19 with no choice but to leave behind family and friends in the process. While finding work in the States, she was able to create a new network of friends she calls family. In contrast to residing in D.C., when Tasha grew up in Nigeria, it was, and still is, illegal to be gay or affiliated with any LGBTQ+. She talks to us about her journey and transition from a Queer Black Woman in Nigeria to a Queer Black woman in the United States.
