We're joined this week by founder of the Trauma Stewardship Project, Laura Van Dernoot Lipsky, to discuss her new book, “The Age of Overwhelm: Strategies for the Long Haul.” In a conversation geared specifically toward the activist, Lipsky lays out the importance of recognizing when you're in overwhelm, and what to do (and not do) when addressing and dealing with it. Plus, some timely advice on how to deal with the daily outrage of the often relentless news cycle. We also chat with Leanne Rumbel and Stephen Dietz, producer and director respectively of a staging of production the David Mamet play, "November," which will raise funds for congressional candidate Andrew Janz, who's running to unseat Devin Nunes in California's 22nd district. All that, plus our weekly calls to action with Indivisible Washington's 8th District research team leader, Stephen Wilhelm.
