Milyenek vagyunk? Különbözőek, ahogy Jézus tanítványai is sokfélék voltak. Különböztek mind természetükben, mind hitük mélységében. Volt, aki egészen távol került Jézustól, mint Júdás is. Viszont Júdás helyzete sem volt reménytelen. Ha elmondta volna Jézusnak, hogy milyen gondolatok kavarognak benne, Jézus biztosan tudott volna segíteni rajta. Olyanok is voltak, akik egészen biztosak voltak abban, hogy ők akár az életüket is odaadnák Jézusért, ilyen volt Péter. Ám az ő fogadalmai is csak a kakaskukorékolásig tartottak. Milyen a mi bizonyosságunk? Meddig tartanak fogadalmaink? Bárhol is tartunk az életutunkon, Jézus mindannyiunkon tud segíteni, mindannyiunknak megbocsát, ha elmondjuk neki gondolatainkat. Ahogy Péter is visszatalált Jézushoz, ugyanúgy minket is vár a Megváltónk. Alapige: Jn. 13,34-38.
