Kat St. John is an artist with a soulful voice who has graced the stage with artist such as: Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Destiny Child, Monica, Common, Nas and many other talented men and women in the music industry. She has been singing for 10 years since she was a little girl. The music industry was so competitive to get in she decided to change the rules of getting g in as an artist. Kat decided to give away her hit singles written for herself to local know artist. This seemed like the best way to get in the door being that she had no money nor family support she decided to make her own path. When people heard her edgy lyric they wanted it for themselves. She then decided to be very selective with whom would have her records. Keeping all her rights not one was sold, just leased. When her name became big as a writer she them started back from the beginning as Persuing her dreams of being the hottest artist in the nation. Kat has had the opportunity to work with producers, whom have worked on some of the hottest albums, like drake, young jeezy, Latoya luckett, Piles, Tony Braxton, Trey Songs, Lil Wayne, Lil Bow Wow, Beyonce and the Destiny Child albums, just to name a few. “I have worked with many musical artist, producers and DJ’s that have believed in my music.” , says St. John.
