Many know these two gentlemen were an integral part of the late 90s & early 2000s underground hip-hop tsunami that came out of LA & the Bay Area and made certified classics alongside comrades Madlib, Wildchild, DJ Romes, Oh No, MED, KanKick & many others. After a small hiatus they’re back better than ever with the release of “Keys 2 Kazi” on Below System Records - a neck snapping, trunk rattling affair that you would expect it to be. We chat with Kazi & Keys about how the project came together, the story behind Keys name change and the role shift in Kazi handling all of the production.
