We boldly go where no man has gone before, on this show at least, and discuss an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation with our pal, Patrick MacFarlane of the Liberty Weekly Podcast. You can find his show at: http://www.libertyweekly.net
Season 1, Episode 7: Justice
When Wesley is sentenced to death for innocently violating an alien planet’s custom, Captain Picard is forced to choose between negotiating for Wesley’s life or adhering to the Federation’s prime directive which prohibits interfering with another civilization’s way of life.
This has a great philosophical and legal conundrum that we will sink our teeth in to as a special birthday request of co-host, Robert Johnson.
Join us next week as we eat tiny burgers with the host of the Cannabis Heals Me Podcast and we discuss "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.”
Show notes and more to be posted at: http://www.actualanarchy.com/131
Presented by www.ActualAnarchy.com
Robert and I analyze popular movies from a Rothbardian/Anarcho-Capitalist perspective.
We use movies as a starting point for people who may not be familiar with this way of thinking. Discussion of the plot and decisions that characters make in relation to morality and violations of the non-aggression principle are our bread and butter.
We also will highlight and discuss any themes or lessons from Austrian Economics that we can glean from the film.
The point is to show what anarchy actually is with instances that are presented in film.
We publish at least once per week; and occasionally will do specials surrounding holidays or events (elections/olympics) and have guests.
