Jesse reached out to me on Instagram after listening to a few eps of the show and was keen to come on to tell his story about his life as a DPC Platinum Member!

He lost both of his parents by the age of 16 and subsequently ended up becoming a ward of the state. Despite the challenges that this has brought, Jesse explained how his parents passing was the last gift they gave him as it’s made him into the man he is today.

We speak about how his life freakishly went full-circle when he unknowingly took up the same hobby, then career, that his Father had and how your goldfish dying should really be your first experience of death - not your parents.

He also spoke of how his grief has become his armour and, this is my favourite part, how it’s also his superpower and our loved ones are our Obi Wan Kenobi’s.. you may not be able to see them, but they’re always there!
