Welcome to my audio thrifting diary. I scour second hand stores searching for interesting artifacts, useful unusuals, trendy trinkets, cool collectibles and good garbage. Each week for the show I take a guest second hand shopping. After we gather a thrift haul, we record an episode based on our findings.

Ed Prence, aka Skymall, has hosted the Glitch-IDM show on BTR every Monday since 2008. Fun fact: Ed and Lottie, BTR's Music Director, not only went to high school together but also participated as seniors in the same "Job Shadow Day" in which they ended up shadowing one of the DJs from Pittsburgh's biggest radio station live on-air. From then on, Ed knew what he wanted to do. Not wanting to work at a corporate radio station, playing pre-programmed garbage, he went off to college at the Unive ...

When two of the world's foremost sports media consumers are locked a studio there's no telling what will ensue. Once a week, Hot Take Juggernauts Will Lonnquist and Nick Sullivan spew consistently incorrect sports commentaries on "America's Station", 89.3 WAMH Amherst College Radio. Special guests frequently appear and spice up the already zesty banter. Each show is broken down into 2 hour-long podcast segments; In Hour 1 we talk sports, in Hour 2 we talk life. New episodes posted roughly ev ...

Every week, Nate, Ben, ad Eric, with the occasional special guest, talk movies and entertainment news, and then play a series of movie-related games, including the central game, The Pitch, wherein our heroes take a concept and try and turn it into a working movie. Most of the time the podcasts will just descend into girlish laughter. Other reoccurring games include Defend Yourself, where one person must defend their enjoyment of an indefensible movie, Sequel-ize It, Porno-ize It, Recast It, ...

This podcast talks about how to program in Java; not your tipical system.out.println("Hello world"), but more like real issues, such as O/R setups, threading, getting certain components on the screen or troubleshooting tips and tricks in general. The format is as a podcast so that you can subscribe to it, and then take it with you and listen to it on your way to work (or on your way home), and learn a little bit more (or reinforce what you knew) from it.

Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation) and Scott Aukerman (Comedy Bang! Bang!) come together as superfan Adam Scott Aukerman to discuss the music and impact of the band R.E.M. Through an album by album analysis, listen to these friends break down everything and nothing about the band. This is good rock n’ roll, uh, music. This is the podcast formerly known as U Talkin' U2 To Me?

I'm writing 100 songs in 100 days and recording the whole process on this podcast. I'm scared that these songs will be complete garbage. And that's okay! I'm doing this to get out of my head and not give myself time to judge if the song is good or bad. I'll take cool lyrics or rad chord progressions and leave the rest in the trash. Also, I want you guys to see that you have to suck for a long time and hustle to become awesome at anything! Cheers 🕺

It was a crime that rocked an idyllic seaside town in Cape Cod -- the 2002 murder of Christa Worthington, found stabbed to death with her 2-year-old daughter, unharmed at her side. What came next was a three-year search for her killer that would involve unorthodox steps by police, a lengthy list of potential suspects, and an entire town under suspicion. Christa's trash collector, Christopher McCowen, would eventually be convicted of the crime, but his trial would raise questions about the ev ...

It's Not Music is hosted by Matthew Amos and Will Eiland. Every week we discuss a new album and a supplementary single, taking an in-depth look at the history, reception, and content of records spanning every genre and time period. Life-altering works of exquisite beauty, rotting piles of IQ-plunging garbage, it's all fair game on It's Not Music! While the show does feature judgments on quality, most episodes focus more closely on our own biases, why arbitrary factors largely determine what ...

You play a fly on the wall during a bunch of uncensored stories between very close friends. Inappropriate doesn't even begin to describe this show. So it's time to see how deep your sense of humor goes. Episodes are cut down and evergreen. So you don't have to listen to 2 hours of garbage in between...like every other podcast. Also don't expect a schedule. Episodes get edited when I am in the mood, and I have no plans to ever end this pod. ad nau·se·am adverb referring to something that has ...

"It's not Garbage" is a podcast hosted by Eric Satterberg and Juan Diego Ramirez. It revisits films the hosts believe were not given a fair analysis at the time the film was released. Our promise to our listeners is to offer a 30-44min deep dive on one film per podcast in a fun context.

The idea for Prestige Worldwide was started much like how all great ideas are started: Drunkenly. Barely able to stand, and most certainly slurring their words, Bobo and Travis came to the conclusion that, “we have a lot of opinions and nothing to do with them." The first idea was a series of perfectly-worded letters to the editor of the local newspaper. However, with subscribers down and the fact that the newspapers are a dying art, they instead turned their focus to the internet. Prestige ...

The Fantasy Football podcast you need; sprinkled with the perfect amount of randomness. There's no time for the same regurgitated bs, it's time to actually dominate your league. RSM was born from the Delaware Valley's premier fantasy league—so we stay true to our roots and discuss them in, too. (SPOILER: we just roast our leag ...
