Welcome to King of the Ride host hosted by Ted King. A professional road racer turned gravel, I've taken the top step at Dirty Kanza twice and often visit the podium, but more than anything it's the gravel community that makes me happy. Slinging maple syrup, leading rides, hosting camps, and just enjoying life on two wheels, I now have the chance to chat with athletes, entrepreneurs, and all walks-of-life who love the bicycle. Hop on board and please enjoy the ride!

When four children (and their baby brother makes five) manage to uncover the long-dormant Psammead (in plain English, then, Sand-Fairy) in a gravel pit, they have the chance of one wish a day that lasts until sunset. But you should be careful what you wish for - as Cyril, Anthea, Robert and Jane find out! (Summary by James Pyle)

This delightful novel begins when a family of five children moves from London to the English countryside. While playing in a gravel pit soon after the move, they discover an ancient and rather grumpy sand-fairy known as the Psammead, who agrees to grant one wish of theirs per day. The children’s wishes send them on adventure after adventure, but rarely turn out as expected. (Summary by Kara)

Born in DC, was brought home to live on 550 in Woodsboro, and then my parents decided to move to the west side of town on Gravel Hill Road, and I haven’t left. Well OK, I did move out of my folks’ house. At their request, I guess 35 was long enough time to be sponging off of Mom & Dad! I still live in Woodsboro to this day!
