Sean and Zach gather in the pod-pod for the first time in some time to throw out potential ways to fix the Montreal Canadiens. From President Koivu to trading Weber & Price, and everything in between, this episode tries to figure out the best path forward for a struggling organization. Plus, talk about the playoffs!…
The 2017-2018 season is one Habs fans will want to forget, but it’s legacy could have long lasting implications. Plenty to be determined in the offseason and the seasons to come for a team in a bad place. But before all that, the Habs had one more game to play and – appropriately enough – … Continue reading Game 82: Habs Lose 4-2 to Maple Leafs ...…
Deslauriers hits double digits in goals for the first time in his career, Gallagher adds to his fine season, but mostly Zach is not happy with your Montreal Canadiens picking up two points in Detroit on Thursday night and he expresses it on this one.
The final home game of the season had Carey crying and it was a near perfect tank game until Alex Galchenyuk tied it with less than 2 minutes to go, but all in all this was about as entertaining and rewarding as a game can be this late in a lost-turned-tank season.
Taylor Hall continued to make his case for the Hart Trophy on a night Carey Price tied Jacques Plante for first all-time in games played by a Montreal Canadiens netminder. Price was solid on the night, looking like his old self for a change, but the Habs anemic offence was still enough to keep them … Continue reading Game 79: Habs Lose 2-1 to D ...…
For the third time in two weeks your Montreal Canadiens allowed the defending champs to score 5 on them. But that’s okay. Taking a closer look at what Claude Julien’s been up to in this otherwise disappointing season from the Habs on this episode.
Brendan Gallagher scored a pair of Gallagher-esque goals on the way to leading your Montreal Canadiens past Detroit in the standings (not good) but at least Gallagher hit the 30-goal mark for the first time in his career. Paul Byron edged closer to the 20-goal plateau with his 19th and Carey Price looked pretty normal.…
Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals rolled into the Bell Centre on Saturday night, catching the Habs coming off an ultra-rare road win on Friday night, though it was in Buffalo, so does it really count? It did in the standings! But on Saturday an offside review and another poor performance from Carey Price saw … Continue reading Game 76: ...…
This one had everything. Goalie interference review, weird goals, multiple penalty shots, Sidney Crosby magic, Nikita Scherbak moves, a fight with Penny Oleksiask’s brother, and even the return of Carey Price. What it lacked was a winning result for your Montreal Canadiens, but even that’s probably for the best these days.…
Carey Price returned to the bench, backing-up Antti Niemi for this one, and that’s about all there is to talk about. While we assume the Habs players weren’t actively involved in the tank job on Monday night, based on watching this game you could probably make a decent argument that they were.
