Jacob: the Father of Israel
Daily+

Greetings brothers and sisters. For the month of January, the Household of Israel Temple of Jesus Christ is proud to present to you an audio podcast series on "Jacob: the Father of Israel." We use his story explain the difference between the blessing of Jacob and the blessing of Esau. Esau’s blessing was different from Jacob’s. Esau was blessed with the things of this world and this life. Jacob was blessed with the things from God in heaven.

Grace - God's Vehicle To Show His Love

You are loved by your Maker not because you try to please Him and succeed, or fail to please him and apologize, but because He wants to be your Father. Ephesians 1:4 NLT Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. To live, as God’s child is to know, at this very i ...

Sunday morning message, August 6, 2017 - Pastor Robert Crain Genesis 36:1-8

Yes, the story is about Jacob becoming Israel, not Esau. But, there is an Esau inside all of us. That image that we want to be. So we build, protect, promote, and prove this image. The way Jacob wanted to be Esau. Until he met God. And was wounded. Then he limped into a new day, no longer trying to be Esau, but living out his true identity: Israel.…

A Sermon for August 6, 2017 on Genesis 33:22-31 and Matthew 14:13-21 The disciples are ready to send the crowds away. Presumably they don’t want the hungry crowd to turn into a hungry mob. But Jesus quite casually suggests that the disciples don’t need to send them away. “You give them something to eat,” Jesus says. The disciples don’t have muc ...…
