Jacob: the Father of Israel
Daily+

Greetings brothers and sisters. For the month of January, the Household of Israel Temple of Jesus Christ is proud to present to you an audio podcast series on "Jacob: the Father of Israel." We use his story explain the difference between the blessing of Jacob and the blessing of Esau. Esau’s blessing was different from Jacob’s. Esau was blessed with the things of this world and this life. Jacob was blessed with the things from God in heaven.

Grace - God's Vehicle To Show His Love

You are loved by your Maker not because you try to please Him and succeed, or fail to please him and apologize, but because He wants to be your Father. Ephesians 1:4 NLT Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. To live, as God’s child is to know, at this very i ...

Why do we want to suspect Esau's intentions in his reconciliation with Jacob? Perhaps it says more about us than him in our expectations.

Jacob, about to confront his estranged brother Esau, wrestles all night long with a mysterious angel and, as dawn emerges, he is the victor and receives a blessing and a new name; Yisrael, the Godwrestler. We are all Jacob, we are all Yisrael as we struggle with past, present and future.

In Parshat Toldot (Genesis 25:19-28:9), Rebecca gives birth to very unidentical twins, Jacob and Esau, who fight in the womb. Meanwhile their father Isaac reopens the wells that his father dug, naming them in very revealing ways.…

Pastor David looks at Jacob's life in Genesis. His name means deceiver, he gets Esau's birthright and then he steals Esau's blessing. But God keeps showing up in his life and eventually changes his name to Israel. In Matthew we see Jesus is in the line of Jacob. Jacob couldn't mess up God's plan!

En esta ocasión, la Apóstol Stella Agüero usa la historia de Jacob y Esaú para ministrarnos sobre la importancia de nunca menospreciar lo que proviene de Dios. 10-1-17.
