The Shore is a gathering of 6-8th grade students at Lakepointe Church in Rockwall, Texas. We are dedicated to Students hearing about the Jesus of the Bible in a non-threatening environment through a message that is accurate and easy to understand.

This week at The Shore, Brandon talks about common myths people believe about Jesus Christ. Some say He is just like a cosmic Santa Claus, or He never even existed. However, when we look at history and what Jesus Himself said, we can know that neither of these is true but that Jesus is God.
 
In this talk Brandon closes out the That's Not Me series. Here we look at what Scripture has to say with Control: Our struggle to attain it, but God's authority in it.
 
Continuing this series Brandon talks on the subject of whether or not God changes with the times.
 
In this new series Brandon talks on Who God is, and how He is different from us. In a world that thinks God is dependent on us, we see that this is not the case.
 
This week Brandon discusses how the Bible is entirely different from any other book that has ever been written. However, people still try to lump it into different categories of books and dismiss it's life altering truth. The students heard how this is anything but true and what the Bible truly is.
 
This week Brandon closes out the series of the W's and The Shore for the school year. In this talk the students heard how God's Word is the ultimate truth in life, and how God is the only firm foundation for us to rely upon.
 
This week Austin talks about Identity and what we let define us. The students heard that it is not what you do or who you hang out with that defines you, but only who you follow that defines you. Jesus is the only one who we should let define us and give us our identity.
 
This week Austin continued the series on Confusion with the topic of World Religions. Every religion agrees on the fact that there is something wrong with all of us, but there are differences on how to fix it. Austin talked to the students about why and how they can be sure that Christianity is different from the rest and is the only way.…
 
This week Brandon continued the Confusion series by talking about Pop Culture. In today's culture they are daily shown that they should elevate themselves above others and that their wants are most important. But the students hear how this is contrary to how Jesus taught us to put others first and our own wants as secondary.…
 
This week Matt talks to the Middle Schoolers about the everyday choices that we are faced and being confused in them. The students heard on how in todays culture people tend to determine what is right and wrong for themselves. However, Matt showed them that this is contrary to Scripture and how we should look to God's Word to be able to know wh ...…
 
This week Brandon kicks off a new series on Confusion. For the first week he dives into the book of Job to take a look at why suffering happens in the world. The students saw how even though suffering happens we can trust God through all of it.
 
This week Austin closed out the series Relationship Status. Over the weeks the students have been hearing about what are healthy relationships and relationships that should be avoided. This week Austin asks the students what their relationship with God looks like, and if they need to refocus back on following Christ.…
 
This week Matt talked on the subject of purity with relationships. This covers how it relates to our eyes, heart, and body. Matt covered how we can fight for purity in these parts of our life, and glorify God through our pure living.
 
This week Austin talks on relationships and how we tend and rely on them and let them define us. If we put to much emphasis on relationships they will only let us down and will inevitably cave under the pressure we put on them. A relationship with Christ is the only relationship that can handle the pressure and not let us down.…
 
This week Matt takes a look into the story of Jesus and the rich young ruler. From this Matt shares how Jesus wants us to surrender our lives to Him so He might make us full and be our Lord and savior.
 
This week Matt concludes the Double Dog Dare series talking on Temptation. In this talk he looks at the life of Jesus and how we can learn to better fight off temptation.
 
This week at The Shore Matt speaks on how we want to be comfortable but God might want us to be uncomfortable. There are daily situations where we can either choose the comfortable route or the uncomfortable one. Sometimes God may call us to be uncomfortable so He can work through us.
 
This week Matt talks on the Christmas story and what Jesus did for us by coming into this world as a human baby. The students heard how Jesus came to save us all from our sins and have a relationship with us unlike any other.
 
In this talk Brandon takes a different spin on the Christmas story and takes a look at it from the perspective of Joseph. Joseph was engaged to Mary who ended up being pregnant by the Holy Spirit. Other people would not have understood this though, so it leaves Joseph with a decision to make.
 
At Neon Night Matt talks about the Maze of life we are all running. It often seems like there is more than one way out, but the truth is that there is only one way out of the Maze. Matt talks about the only way out of the Maze and His name is Jesus.
 
In this message Brandon talks on what worship truly is, how it is so much more than just singing songs at church, and what God expects from us in worshipping Him.
