Jesus gives us this prayer to teach us how to pray. It is a prayer that we are to pray as well as instruction about how to pray. This series relies on the questions at the end of the Westminster Larger Catechism to examine the meaning of each phrase of the prayer.

How do you pray? With a book of liturgy, totally extemporaneous, with King James English, or with down-home country talk? God’s Son can answer this question better than anyone else, and this is exactly what He did in His model prayer. You have probably repeated these words hundreds of times, but have you taken some time to understand what they really mean? These messages will challenge you to do exactly that!

At a little church in a small town called Mulga, Alabama, the power of prayer is revealed as the church's pastor (Reverend Hicks) uses stories from his life and the small town to paint a clear picture of the workings of God. However, by searching through the Bible and uncovering God's instructions for prayer, we can maximize the likelihood that our prayers will be answered in the future. The exa ...

On occasion I hear people say, are we really in the last days? How do we know? Does it really matter one way or another? We will try to answer these questions as well as many others in this study. But the most important question may be, how can we reach others with the message of hope in these changing times? Many times when a study of the Last Days is taught, one part of prophecy is emphasized over another causing people to lose perspective and therefore missing the blessing and beauty of p ...

Tobias is the 17th book of the Bible and one of the historical books in the Old Testament. In the text, Raphael, after revealing his angelic nature, commanded both father and son to tell all the wonders that God had done to them and write it in a book. It is likely that the parts of the book written in first person singular are an autobiography of Tobias the elder. It was written originally during the Babylonian Exile, in the early portion of the seventh century B.C.; and that all except the ...
