Hello everyone, welcome back to 10 Percent True

This interview is one of two special interviews I conducted to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Operation Desert Storm / Op Granby, better known as the First Gulf War.

In this, the first part of the first interview, Adam Robinson, a Royal Air Force Tornado Navigator talks about flying the Tornado and his squadron’s preparations leading up to war.

In Part 2, he’ll describe his experiences under fire, to include attacking an airfield on the very first night of the war.

Both parts were recorded back in September 2000, so that should explain some of the references Adam makes to dates and anniversaries.

Adam, thanks so much for sharing your experiences – it’s an important oral history and I am so grateful that you agreed to sit down and talk.

FYI, my second interview is with Rick “Kluso” Tollini, who was also airborne that first night of the war, lead the first fighter sweep in Iraq.

Two days later and Kluso would shoot down a MiG-25.

To hear his story, and to make sure you get notified that Part 2 of Adam’s interview is available, please subscribe.

Oh, and feel free to like and share.

Enjoy.
