Opera singer Jennifer Finn had an idea: how can musicians and singers get more live practice of their craft while simultaneously bringing joy to underserved New Yorkers? What followed is the creation of the not-for-profit organization Concerts in Motion, which had NY1 naming Finn their “New Yorker of the Week”. In classic “10,000 NOs Failure is Opportunity” fashion, Finn is executing where most others merely dream or talk about pie in the sky ideas. Serving isolated elderly folks, underserved minority musical hopefuls and professional musicians and singers, Jennifer’s voice is filling more than just the opera houses she had hoped to one day play.

It is not the critic who counts. If you’ve been knocked down... get back up, dust yourself off, and get back in the game. If you want to give back, share this with someone who could use it. Encourage them to take the next step and leave a 5-star review so more people can benefit from these conversations.
