THE MAKING OF THE SENSEI is the behind the scenes process of what inspired The SENSEI. Writer-director D. Lee Inosanto takes you through the journey of directing one of the most inspirational independent films. The Making of The SENSEI sheds light on Martial Artist, writer and AIDS activist, Gilbert Johnson, who co-edited the Late Bruce Lee's "Tao of Jeet Kune Do" to the national awakening case of hate crime and murder of Matthew Shepard, and finally the "Red Carpet World Premiere" of THE SENSEI with star studded guests like Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls, Entourage's Rex Lee, UFC Champion Bas Rutten, Twilight Saga's Justin Chon, WWF Champion Evan Karagis and Bob Wall of Enter the Dragon. With interviews from crew and cast members (Diana Lee Inosanto, Louis Mandylor, Mike Olaskey, Tzi Ma and Sab Shimono) audiences will also get a constructive look at how some of the stunt and fight scenes were coordinated by Producer/ Stunt & Fight Coordinator, Ron Balicki. The MAKING OF The SENSEI shows the coming together of a cast and crew to put forth a film that examines the nature of prejudice and how it can limit us or teach us to take action, individually and as a society.
