Here the Buddha clearly and simply states the truth of cause and effect. He shows how we can bring about our own transformation by applying wisdom to the way we undertake things. An ignorant person does not know what things should and should not be cultivated and followed. A wise person knows what things should and should not be cultivated and followed. Examples are given for each.
