מאז ששמענו את ג'סיקה ראביט אומרת: "אני לא רעה, אני רק מצוירת כך" הוקסמנו מנבלים קולנועיים. מדארת' ויידר, דרך האנס גרובר ו"זה שאין לנקוב בשמו" ועד לת'אנוס. איכות הנבל לרוב גם קובעת את איכות הסרט. כי אם לגיבור אין יריב מעניין, כל המהלך של הסרט לא מעניין. בכל פרק נתמקד בנבל אחד, או שחקן המגלם נבלים, או תמה (אינטליגנציה מלאכותית, זומבי וכו') -הכול מהעולמות הבדיוניים. נבלים אמתיים זה כבר סיפור אחר.
