Beth Darnall, PhD is Associate Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative, and Pain Medicine. She develops and investigates behavioral medicine treatments for acute pain in the hospital and after surgery, and for chronic pain. She leads national research on patient-centered opioid tapering, and has authored/co-authored 5 books for patients and clinicians on analgesic use and behavioral pain medicine.
