Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. He joined Caroline in 1977, touring the country with the Caroline Roadshow for 10 years, having great fun. Barry helped with tender trips and worked on the Ross Revenge in '84 and '85. ...

Ngā mihi o te rā. This week we have Balamohan Shingade, the curator and manager of the new Malcolm Smith Gallery gallery which is part of the Arts and Culture Uxbridge center, join us in the studio. He talks to us about the opening exhibition "Soft Architecture", ideas around community and his plans for the gallery. Jaimee talks about her experience of the three day Wānanga led by Taarati Taiaroa and Elisapeta Heta that invited interested parties to propose, explore, discuss and dissect key contemporary Māori art texts in relation to emerging arts practice and three key spaces in Dunedin. This is an ongoing series of Wānanga to be held around the country. We also play a soundwork by Mark Williams, "Particles", as part of our collaboration with Audio Foundation and Radia.
