Who produced and bottled wine:

Hye Meadow Winery in the Fredricksburg, TX in the Hill Country.

The grape was grown in the Texas High Plains at Pepperjack Vineyards, Shallowater, TX making it 100% Texas Wine. Buy online at HyeMeadow.com for $27.

Why we chose this wine: We visted hye and the hill country last weekend. And I'm a member of Hye. The Trebbiano was part of the Wine Club allocation. We will talk more about visiting Fredricksburg later!

I'm also a fan of italian wines. why i joined Hye!

Trebbiano grape grows in the Texas High Plains but is predominately grown in France & Italy. In france, trebbiano is known as Ugni (oo-nee) Blanc in France. Typically distilled for brandy or cognac. not commonly made into wine. the Grape is known as Trebbiano in Italy. Primarily grown in Central Italy (Tuscany, Lazio (latsio), Umbria, and Abruzzo) and as far south as Puglia

Trebbiano taste: Serve Cold. Light to Full White, Dessert

Pairs with: hard italian cheeses, seafood pastas, white pizza, roast chicken, and pesto.

Also try these other whites: Chardonnay, Rousanne, Grenache Blanc

Other wines from this Italian region: the reds Sangiovese and Montepulciano
