On this week's episode, Alex and Brandon chat about whether or not there is a spoon.
Robyn joins the show once more to add her lovely voice and insightful opinions on the latest in nerd culture. Alex kicks things off with the ABC's of Geekdom segment talking about his favorite fictional egg-laying mammal. After that, the crew gets started with the corrections from last week's show, including Game of Thrones, the Oscars, Pokémon, Bradgelina, Alex's Modern British Novel class, Sir Anthony Hopkins, New York Comic Con, Pop! vinyls, Suicide Squad, The Killing Joke, Lockheed, Wacky Races, Yogi Bear, Silicon Valley, Fargo, and Breaking Bad. Before taking a break, they cover some news from the past week, including an update on the upcoming Portal movie, the end of Adventure Time, Winston Duke cast as M'Baku in Black Panther, and the announcement of a "live-action" Lion King remake.
After the break and some gnarly music, the gang comes back to talk about some trailers, no new Pokemon news for once, and other news including, the reveal of the villains for the 4 show DCTV crossover event, Misty Knight coming to the Netflix series The Defenders, Doctor Strange confirmed to appear in the Infinity War movie, the announcement of a movie based on the video game Firewatch, future Stan Lee cameos in the MCU, some Jurassic World 2 updates, Sam Neill appearing in Thor: Ragnarok, and an update on Ricardo Medina's legal status. After that, Alex and Brandon discuss BioShock (spoilers from around 1:39:30-1:52:10), an awesome game which Alex recently beat and had an excellent time with. After wrapping that up, they move on to discuss Gladiator (spoilers from around 1:52:10-2:08:45), a gory, dramatic masterpiece all three of them have strong opinions on. Last but not least, they finish off the show with a new Fan Fic Fights that is out of this world.
