Free State Fest is in full swing here in Lawrence, KS and we have writer Mathew Klickstein as our guest on this special edition of A.D.D. We argue about the Lawrence brick roads, the new 5 part series OJ: Made in America, the Radiohead record store experience, fear in politics, why people are freaking out in America right now, the Anthony Weiner Doc, full moon fever, "the yard" garden in North Lawrence, and "jasper's" brags about being in a coven. This is a fast paced conversation with all of the gang here.
"jasper" is also mad we didn't know he changed his name to be spelled like "jasper," in the ad. Thinks it's misleading. The ravings of a lunatic for sure. He get's all worked up about water at some point too... right before Jason gets upset about twitter marketing. Real important stuff here.
Mathew is also here to discuss his upcoming panel Thursday night above John Brown Underground from 5-6:15pm.
Eat Lawrence! Kitchen Convo Live
"Take the digestive tract to answers about where Larryville is going via a panel with some of our favorite restaurateurs.
We have the eclectic bunch of: Matt Hyde (715), Louis Wigen-Toccalino (Decade), Meg Heriford (Ladybird Diner), Brad Shanks (Taco Zone),.
All compelling and gregarious character studies in what it is to be a successful eatery, coffee shop or bar in Lawrence.
All with their own singular take on how to survive and adapt in 2016: Meg's whimsical throwback nostalgia, Louis' refusal to give in to the digital realm at his coffee shop, Brad's pop-up at Replay that transcended to its own brand and space, Matt's consistent success of sybaritic indulgences and Ted's new gourmet street food experiment."
