There is some sad news from Remedy Entertainment.

If you have not yet played Time Magazine’s 2010 Game of the Year, now is your final chance. Remedy’s Alan Wake is going offline from stores. This is due to the expiration of music license agreements for the game (Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is not affected).

For 48 hours, you can buy Alan Wake including DLCs and Alan Wake’s American Nightmare at a 90% discount on Steam.

If you already own Alan Wake – like the majority of the gaming population out there – you have nothing to worry about. The game will continue to work for you.

More bad news! Square Enix has withdrawn from IO Interactive, the developers behind Hitman.

To maximize player satisfaction as well as market potential going forward, we are focusing our resources and energies on key franchises and studios. As a result, [Square Enix] has regrettably decided to withdraw from the business of IO Interactive A/S, a wholly?owned subsidiary and a Danish corporation, as of March 31, 2017.

This decision has resulted in booking of the extraordinary loss amounting to 4,898 million yen, including disposition of the content production account related to the business and impairment loss of intangible assets, in the financial results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2017.

As a result of this [Square Enix] started discussions with potential new investors and is currently in negotiations to secure this investment. Whilst there can be no guarantees that the negotiations will be concluded successfully, they are being explored since this is in the best interests of our shareholders, the studio and the industry as a whole.

Assassin’s Creed is getting LEAKY. Rumor has it the next game in the franchise is called Assassin’s Creed Origins, and will indeed take place in Egypt. A screenshot of the game has leaked as well.

Nintendo has announced their E3 plans this year. On June 13th at 9 AM PST, there will be a Nintendo Direct, featuring Super Mario Odyssey.
