Extra Point – A little something that didn’t make the show

After the game I visited Chuck’s Seafood for dinner – Chuck’s is a Podcast team favorite! Can we say sponsorship??

So I’m at the bar enjoying a drink and app (the Uptown Shrimp is a must), and start a conversation with a gentlemen sitting next to me. He’s from New Mexico and 3 weeks into his retirement, and his first trip was to the south to soak up some big-time college football. Earlier in the week he made stops in Austin and Baton Rouge but wanted to hit Tuscaloosa for a ball game.

He wished for a closer game – his wish, not mine – but talked about how impressed he was with the campus, stadium, fans, and sorority girls. I must say, he was right on all counts.

Mini Game balls

Anyone can read a headline, but which players contributed in more subtle ways to the Tide’s fortune?

Next Up

Alabama opens conference play with a sojourn to the Grove in Oxford for a tussle with a rowdy and rebellious assemblage of black bear sharks.

We hope you’ll check out the Podcast and, in the meantime, Roll Tide!
