Technology disrupts industries. Netflix eliminated Blockbuster - now instead of driving somewhere to argue about what to watch before falling asleep in front of the TV, we can do it from the comfort of our homes. From scheduling and paying for fitness classes via an app to fitness trackers and wearable technology that provide data on your exercise efforts to cardio equipment with integrated TVs to the social media platforms that allow you to take sweaty selfies after you’re done exercising, technology is indeed having an impact on how we exercise.
This is a first episode in a special series looking into how technology is hacking fitness. The series starts off with Bryan K. O'Rourke, an investor and serial entrepreneur who currently serves as the President of the Fitness Industry Technology Council and the host of the Fitness + Technology podcast making him the perfect person to launch this series.
