Stress, like death and taxes, is one of life's certainties. We deal with stress at home, on the job and at the gym (exercise is physical stress applied to the body); we tend to think of stress as a bad thing, yet according to Dr. Julia DiGangi, a psychologist who studies the effects of stress on the brain, some stress could actually be good for us. Dr. DiGangi is the founder of NeuroHealth Partners, an organization devoted to understanding how to optimize wellness and healthy living, on this episode of All About Fitness, she explains how stress can help us become more resilient and capable of withstanding the hard challenges that we'll face in life.
