Galatians 3:1 O foolish Galatians what spell has deceived you? Before your eyes Jesus the Messiah was exhibited as crucified. 2 Teach me one thing: did you receive the Spirit by Torah’s works or [the] faith you heard [in Messiah Jesus]? 3 Are you so foolish that having begun in the Spirit are you now to be perfected in flesh? Did you suffer so much in vain, if indeed it was in vain? 5 So then does [the One] providing to you the Spirit and working miracles [do so] from Torah’s works or from [the] faith [you had heard]? 6 Just as Abraham “believed in God, and it was reckoned to him as justification” (Gen. 15:6): 7 understand, therefore, those of faith, these are sons of Abraham. 8 Also the Scripture foreseeing that God [would] justify the Gentiles by faith, announced the [good news] message before hand to Abraham, saying, “All nations will be blessed in you” (Gen. 12:3) 9 Therefore, those of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. 10 For as many as are by Torah’s works are under a curse: for it was written, “Cursed are all who do not abide in all the things written in the book of the law, to do them” (Dt. 27:26). 11 That no one by Torah’s works is righteous before God is evident, “The justified by faith shall live” (Hab. 2:4): 12 but the Torah is not from faith, rather, “The one who does them shall live in them” (Lev. 18:5). 13 Messiah redeemed us out of the curse of the Torah, as it is written,...
