Dan and Carolyn watch the 1984 sci-fi coming-of-age cult hit The Last Starfighter. It was filmed before computers were invented, which explains why the space effects are so cheesy. Is that not right? Anyway, they discuss the film and to a lesser extent, the novelization of the film. An inordinate amount of time to date has been spent discussing the merits of cash-in novelizations of films; don't expect that to end. We're sorry.
