Welcome to UnforMETable, an Amazin’ Avenue Audio show that looks back on less heralded, more obscure Mets players from the past.

Coming off of a painful end to the 2007 season and with Paul LoDuca aging, Mets General Manager Omar Minaya made the decision to trade his former top prospect Lastings Milledge to bring in Brian Schneider and Ryan Church from the Washington Nationals.

Considered a defensive stalwart, Schneider served as the primary backstop for the Mets in their fateful last season at Shea Stadium as well as their first season at Citi Field—even scoring the Mets first run in their new ballpark.

As always, you can listen or subscribe to this and all of our wonderful Amazin’ Avenue Audio podcasts through Apple Podcasts, where we encourage you to leave a review if you enjoy the show. It really helps! And you can find us on the Stitcher app, or listen wherever you get podcasts.
