Borås socialtjänst är ovanligt restriktiv med familje- och behandlingshemsplaceringar av ungdomar med exempelvis missbruksproblem, det visar en granskning som P4 Sjuhärad har gjort. Under 2008 och 2009 placerade Borås bara hälften så många ungdomar i behandlingshem som genomsnittet för tio jämförbara kommuner. En som är kritisk mot Borås socialtjänst är Birgitta.
