Marvin Williams joins Sharifah Hardie to discuss his journey from programming and tech to Hollywood Productions on Ask Sharifah #AMA. Marvin Raphael Williams, Founder of Big M Entertainment, began his professional career in technology (e.g. programming, 2D/3D graphic design) and has since developed into a multifaceted creative producer. Williams consulted on projects for Andersen Consulting, Ernst & Young, LAX, Delta Airlines, United Airlines & Disney’s Imagninarium. After founding Big M Entertainment in 2008, Williams was hired to deliver motion graphics and in concert jumbo-tron media for a project directed by choreographer Flii-Stylz. While working with Flii at Interscope Records, and directly with Jimmy Iovene, Williams was discovered by other entertainment executives and he quickly began working on Motion Graphics based projects with numerous music producers. After being hired to Co-Write and Co-Direct Dionne Warwick’s documentary “The Black Pearl”, the environment for Williams to begin pitching quickly developed. Williams list of network and studio partners includes Sony TV, Sony Theatrical, Crackle, Nickelodeon, Relativity, Discovery, Asylum TV, FOX, Lionsgate, and Comcast NBC Universal,. Williams is developing projects: Cassius Vernon Weathersby (You Got Served, DC Cab), Vassal Benford (Sexual Healing - The Marvin Gaye Story, Ike Turner), Jamee Deruso (Igor, The Hero of Color City), Hosam Ibrahim (The Passion of the Christ), Gina M. Holland (BET's Comic View and the BET Awards), Trae Ireland (First Sunday, Death at a Funeral), Steve Mosco (President of Sony TV), Davis Entertainment (Predator, iRobot, The Black List), Steve Tisch (Forrest Gump, The Pursuit of Happiness and Co-Owner of the NFL’s NY Giants), David Madden (Presidenty FOX TV/Entertainment) and Malek Akkad (Halloween - Franchise).
