Is religion inherently violent? In this thirteenth episode of the Atheist Republic Voicemails features a story of a man from Baghdad who receives death threats because of atheism and more stories of atheists from around the world. Listen to their stories.

The first speaker is a Muslim who talks about why he thinks Muhammad was evil and should be followed by no one with a conscience.

From Egypt, the second speaker is an ex-Muslim who decided to quit when he began to question the history of Islam.

The third speaker talks about what it is like to work amongst old people, who mostly believe in God. She prefers to believe in reason, logic, and science.

From the United Kingdom, the fourth speaker speaks about how privileged he was to be brought up as an atheist and the simple life philosophy he follows instead of religion.

Fifth speaker talks about why he loves being an atheist. He gives advice and courage to people who want to leave religion.

Another speaker is an ex-Muslim from Pakistan who talks about how proud he is to be an atheist.

The seventh speaker describes how he has replaced religion with humanism. He strongly expressed his disgust for the American president Donald Trump.

From Baghdad, Iraq, the eighth speaker talks about how he received murder threats because of his atheism. He was recently attacked with a knife.

Ninth speaker discusses the disgust he feels for people who commit violence in the name of God. The last speaker reminds us to love each other instead of an imaginary friend.
