Mother's Day can be amazing. And Mamahood can be awesome. But it can also be...NOT amazing. And NOT so awesome.

Life is complicated and complex. And our relationships with our Moms and kids can be too.

This will be my first Mother's Day without my Mom. And even though our relationship wasn't always great, I always loved her. And I realized, before she passed, the gift she gave me that had, and has, the power to change how generations after her show up in the world - and to their own families. And I will be forever grateful for that.
